The Inquirer had similar prices on four of the models even earlier: theinquirer.net

I must say, a $500+ list price for 2.67 Conroe makes perfect sense and would not be too disruptive to the market (nor to AMD).

It will be about 3-4 speed grades ahead of the fastest Pentium D available now, cost about $100 less, and probably use about 1/2 - 2/3 the power of Pentium D. I would consider that disruptive.
