Cynthia has become a regular on chris matthews sunday morning show(nbc).

I remember her as the far left , high strung , spokesperson of perhaps ten years ago.

Interesting she now is aware of the further fall out of black men in labor. The sad part of of her article is she looks to lack of heavy industry or hourly wages as to one of the reasons for black men not working.

Why does she avoid the obvious, lack of parental discipline to keep these boys in school , to set an example, to find family support.

All things considered she avoids addressing the problem. If her mom offered $20. per hour would the fellow who disappeared in thirty minutes have remained? Would the men who promised to show up for work really have showed up with a higher wage? How about the men that worked a couple of days and then left. Would these men worked have worked for day and then left if they were only working to accumulate enough cash for booze or drugs?

Higher wages would certainly have gotten her a chance for more labor, however if she was still using the same pool source then i think she would have gotten the same problems.

I have been looking to get a roof installed, old one now twenty years old. My major concern is the laborers not the price per hour, rather the quality of work. This labor pool is famous for no shows, shorty work, as one roofer told me a long time ago, the customer doesn't come up on the roof to inspect it . then laughed!

estimates.. this is an industry looking to get regulated.. amazing i get from estimates from $14,000 to a little over $8000 for the same roof and materials. Confused , suspicious, worst than dealing with a used car salesman.
