I've known men that insisted their girl fiends get abortions against their wishes. Maybe the women were weak minded to submit to such coercion or maybe the men were just sorry no goods or maybe it was a little of both. A fetus however has pitifully little protection under the law and in my opinion that's nothing to be proud of. * * *

I am pro choice politically but personally i am closer to the pro life position. Goldy and I were talking about where things seemed headed given ultrasound technology and morning after pills. Both will lessen the number of abortion and most folks agree fewer abortions are a good thing. Right now the law is what the law is and i support it, but i am always hoping for a new consensus to develop shortening the period in which abortions are permitted but even more importantly desired by women under the gun. I would also add to the pro lifers, you better figure out a way to take care of these unwanted children if abortion were ever eliminated. Right now we do a piss poor job in health care for the poor and uninsured. There is no sense in someone choosing life if the result of life is futility, sickness et al.
