"Raza" has multiple meanings, including "buddies."

I don't presume to know what the group intended when it chose its name but I have had encounters with the group and observed that the 'tude expressed by Hanson exudes from the group. As it typically does from identity-oriented rights groups.

Hispanic extremists is "La Raza,"

We have discussed this before. If you have lived in California, and follow politics, you know this is very prevalent. All the Latin pols there are buddy-buddy with these people. Bustamente, the Lt Gov, and the Mayor of LA were both members in their younger years. It's the "in" group for young latin leftists.
