I know what you mean; I lived in Pensacola until Ivan wrecked my house and I moved out of Florida.

That's another of Panama's advantages. Its not in the hurricane strike region.

There are several posting lists on Yahoo groups where you can get more info from people who live there and there are 2 active expat groups in Panama City that have get togethers every month. I attended one and over 100 expats were in attendance.
