re: Besides, since when is "amnesty" a "liberal view"?

It's traditional, you know, the "bleeding heart liberals". It's part of the Democrat constituency, the downtrodden. Last amnesty was from Clinton, I believe. The "protectionist unions" also support the illegals, in fact helped organize the recent demonstrations. Remember Cesar Chavez? A liberal darling, a conservative nightmare.

Recently, the southern Republicans have realized the value of cheap labor to business, and are changing their position. Bush was one of the first. I guess you are a part of that wave? Or are you a "bleeding heart"?

JF, Amnesty, the liberal view... just like yours.

They won't call it "amnesty," John.

Besides, since when is "amnesty" a "liberal view"? I thought "cheap labor Repugnicans" like myself wanted "amnesty," LOL.

Its very confusing what people want. Some people both on the right and the left are saying amnesty when they really want deportation. And then there are people on the right and the left who are saying kick the bums out. Then there are people....special interest groups like industrialists and Latinos......who want to make them citizens.

I think to citizenize 12 million people is ridiculous and undermines are reasons for legal immigration as well as the country. I am glad to see that Georgia is taking matters into its own hands.
