i was talking about rationalizing tax policy. SS payouts would still be based on an individuals total W2 earnings. All i am doing is folding the payroll tax into the overall flat tax we were talking about. My prime goal was to protect folks in the 40k-95k, particularly families that would be paying combined 24% on earnings between 45k-94k. I think tax relief is needed there most, but i guess you are more interested in eliminating the death tax so your millions will pass tax free. Just kidding John but i maintain there is a negative bubble for the working middle class with the Forbes flat tax plus fica that needs to be addressed. By the way Medicare is already a welfare program and i believe always has.
