So, what else could be said about network neutrality? Are we seeking equal treatment for all, while employing the wrong set of protocols? Maybe there is a problem with being solely dependent on one protocol suite for all of our communications needs. Ask most of the original crafters of the Internet and they will tell you that things are becoming more broken each day, that the commercial paths that have been taken weren't exactly the intended ones for the constructs that they devised, that the Internet can't continue to economically scale to the level of spam and other noise sources that presently occupy it, and, in short, that something new will definitely be needed down the road. Exactly what and when, however, still remains the topic of much discussion and many symposia.
