Same thing is happening with the fishing industry here. Salmon limits have been dropped from 75/ day to 50/ week, while fuel is almost a buck a gal> last year.
Also, FWIW, when I was in college and working for more or less minimum wage, I could buy 10 gals of gas @ 28-32 cents. At current minimum wage the Mal Rat can buy about 2 of them.
