I find this focus on depreciation to be missing the point entirely. Yes, it affects earnings. But it is a non-cash deduction.

AMD already spent the money in Capex. Whether or not FAB36 produces a single chip, the money is gone.

At this stage, Depreciation is an indirect measure of how much FREE CASHFLOW the operation is throwing off.
