After all, it was HIS CIA DIRECTOR that Clarke is implying acted with Gingrich, apparently unwitting of the rest of his national security staff..

Little wonder they had no clue about Al Qai'da or the threat of the Taliban.. eh?

All of that setting the stage for 9/11.... and the loss of 3,000 lives.

And we're supposed to give Mr. Clarke "respect" as a credible external observer and commentator of US intelligence matters?

As for international law.. when a lawless regime that completely ignores international law in its own policies of terror becomes such a threat that sanctions no longer function, some would assert that international law needs to be enforced...
