If we adopted Canada's pragmatic policy on citizenship, half the illegals wouldn't bother coming here.

"If Mexico had to pay for their return, they'd probably do a better job at not letting them in."

We have a policy that they can't come (It is against the law).
If it were possible to make Mexico pay for their return we should start enforcing that right now. They are citizens of Mexico, they are Mexico's responsibility. Dual citizenship has nothing to do with it.

Good luck enforcing new policies when we are unwilling to enforce the simple rules we have now. We are a nation of law. We have no claim to existence but the Constitution on which we are founded. United (under the constitution) we stand, divided (no respect for rule of law) we fall.

I like the idea of making Mexico pay for the expenses associated with their citizens who are illegally in this country.

If we deducted a certain fairly large, amount, for every ILLEGAL that comes into this country, from the money we give to Mexico, perhaps they would do a much better job at keeping their citizens at home....

If Mexico had to pay for their return, they'd probably do a better job at not letting them in.

Another interesting idea. I doubt they'd do it but, who knows.
