It's a fungus.........causes a fatal lung infection in people being treated with high doses of chemotherapy.

OK. Was gonna tell this to Patty Am, but you asked. Aspergillis is a fungus what commonly live among us, like in compost piles. Not a problem unless you have an immune disorder, or are on immunosuppressives, in which case you can get pneumonia, and, I believe fungal balls(masses).

I saw it once at the VA. Very typical, had folks scratching their heads. Asp usually shows up in the central portions of the lung. This guy was showing disease in the periphery. They finally decided that

1) this guy was smoking med mary his friends brought in (This was like about 1980).
2) he was using a bong
3)he never changed water in said bong; bing
4) so it grew asp and he breathed it in
5) holding his breath, as those folks are wont to do, and
6) spreading the fungus laterally instead of medially.
