I think people just want to read stuff from specific posters and use ignore to achieve that.

Not sure why someone has to be told he or she is being put on Ignore. A need to get the "last word"?

When I put someone on 'ignore' and tell them, its not because I am trying to get the last word.....its because I am beyond caring what they think and what they have to say isn't worth listening to. For me, its not punitive. If I thought it were punitive, I wouldn't do it.
