The Fed guys are falling over one another to say rate hikes are almost over. I wonder why. Could it be that they want to fool gold into making huge upside moves and then when they continue hiking the rates, gold can come crashing down and thereby get a bad name, so the average investor will keep away from gold?!

Of course, general equities will get hit as well, but they haven't had the explosive upside move that gold has seen.
