It's a habit I've aquired. A lot of the newspaper sites I used to post from require registration, and a lot of people would rather not read the article than register. As for the "lefties" doing it - it's very hard, maybe impossible, to find stories to post, even in the right-wing publications, that have anything positive to say about the Bush administration at this time.
