Well, to put it mildly there are also a $hitload of investors and professional money managers (not to mention most of the mainstream media) who've made a sport of bashing gold and its proponents as long as I've been interested in the sectory (which admittedly is only 6 years or so). Pretty much all the new era tech people think it's a barbarous relic, not to mention our illustrious emeritus Fed Chairman. So their are plenty of non-believers to be converted to Goldism before this run is done. Obviously I think EVERYONE will be converted to Energyism before IT'S run is done, which will be when we're out of crude, gas, coal, uranium and hope........

Got burning sacks of manure and old clownbux?<G>

If you remember that song, you probably remember...

If you wanted a piece of a**
all you needed was a 6 pack and gas
but life is different now
sit back and think holy cow
runnin' out of money fast
the easy life is in the past

Quite appropriate for today's J6P, no?

<<<newsletters bashing energy and touting gold and gold stocks>>>

I've never seen one. Can you give an example (with energy bashing)?

<<<more touts of gold stocks than any other market sector>>>

Two explanations:
1. It's GOLD. Everybody understands what it is. Try to explain Optic Fiber Wavelengths to a housewife. -g-
2. Actually almost everyone can write a gold touting newsletter but few can write about Optic Fiber Wavelengths. I strongly suspect that many gold newsletters don't have subscribers. Authors write them for fun.
