The fact is that a majority of the so called combatants were just people in the wrong place at the wrong time. Yet they were still tortured. No I don't thing its the same yet we should have a higher standard an never resort to torture. Why does this Admin. feel the need to disregard the ban on torture just because they are enemy combatants

Many administration opponents disingenuously employ a nexus between acts of individuals and national policy. The acts of a handful of individual prison guards at Gitmo and Abu Graib were discovered, investigated and prosecuted by the same authorities they accuse of wrong-doing. Yet they somehow equate these illegal acts with the inhumane POLICIES of Saddam and his government.
