I see nothing wrong with detaining some or all of the people in a combat zone until you can sort out the innocents from the enemy. Especially when you are in enemy territory and the enemy is not uniformed.

Thanks. That is an interesting article but I don't see a contradiction to Bush's earlier statements on torture. He merely reiterates his obligation and authority as commander and chief. I don't see the need for those two issues to ever come in conflict.
