In the odd but true part of my life. My middle boy is fixin to turn 15 next month. He's looking at getting his leaners permit at that time. I took out my step stool and looked that boy square in the eye and asked him how in the world did he ever expect to drive from the back seat.

My kids will not ride in the front seat. I know when you were a kid, you'd call shotgun right? My kids prefer to ride in the back. I took to calling my daughter Miss Daisy on a road trip a few years back because it was just her and I in that car. Her in the right side back seat, me in the drivers seat. Her tap, tap, tapping me on the shoulder reminding me of my exit then going back to what ever it was she was doing at the time. I can tell you that had we not been running late that day, I would have pulled over on the side of the road and snatched that child bald headed. I told her as much when we reached our final destination.

Still, they insist on riding in the back seat. Their father believes it has something to do with the way I drive.
