A normal thinking person would realize that having to raise the debt level to over $9 trillion in order to accommodate the current budget strongly suggests that spending is out of whack and needs a strong dose of reality.

Raising the debt ceiling is quite common and doesn't suggest to much. That having been said I agree that spending is out of whack. I'm just pointing out that the war is only a small part of that fact.


The war is the icing on the cake........along with the tax cuts, its what puts us into the red. Its the equivalent of you buying a second car and joining an expensive country club. A private person shouldn't do it nor should the gov't......esp. when the war and the tax cuts were unnecessary.
