All I'm saying is that Clarke could have just had the decency (and retained his credibility) by absorbing his share of the responsibility rather than acting like it was some kind of "rogue operation" that the White House didn't have a role in.

Just to illustrate how you and I think differently. Clarke doesn't specifically say that he was aware of the operation and you claim that he's implying that he didn't know about it.

On the other hand I read the same article and figure that since he is writing about the event, he knows about it. How else could he write about it if he didn't know of it? Duh.

Do you know who was, according to the 9/11 report, gave the final nod to permit the Bin Laden family to leave the US on 9/11??

Without looking up the 9/11 report my recollection of the bin Laden family leaving the US was myth.

Come on now...I've asked you a couple of times about this Taleban threat which you started without explanation and you keep forgetting to reply. I'd love to hear more on that.
