Joe: Not completely sure, but the take-away is that AMD has ZERO need to tailor fab gear to product type. This is a HUGE benefit of the AMD "They're all really Opterons, in a dozen disguises" strategy. Contrast this with Intel's wild mix of Pentium M's, Pentium 4's, and wholly different NGA, all vying to be made at the same time across two geometry nodes on what can only be dissimilar gear. What do I order? What do I mothball? Yuckorama!

Joe - Well, aren't Turions using different transistors for low power needs? Those would be different beasts than high end FXs or Opterons.
