< I would start by confessing to all what a dunderhead I really am and how wrong I am about all I pretend to know. >

Well that's easy and readily done... interestingly it would also show much wisdom.

<Then I would hate myself.>

But really that would simply show much ego... so who cares?

One thing I learned when on my intellectual quest is that we are all nuts. That sure took a lot of pressure off me.

I read tons of biographies. Dostoevesky was a complusive gamble and lost all the time. had to write to pay his gambling debts. Mark Twain lost tons in business being constantly dupt and on and on.

Hunter s thompson was probably Baudealair in a parallel universe-lol.

So if we are all nuts, then I feel we can at least be kind to each other and laugh at ourselves as we are all in the same boat.

Best book in my opinion is "to Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee and the best story is "the allegory of the Cave" by Plato.

And he lived about 400 BC can you imagine??
