Peter,

I found the Adapt4 prezo useful and interesting, while validating the utility of the term "interference" as a form of shorthand notation. Absent such a form of shorthand I'm sure the presentation would not have been hardly as readable. While going through it I could not help but see the similarities to dynamic bandwidth allocation schemes and just a touch of the collision avoidance found in Ethernet's CSMA/CD/CA schemes.

As an aside, about twenty five, maybe twenty-seven years ago I was asked by the NY City Dept of Evnironmental Affairs to review a number of proposals submitted by engineering firms for the monitoring and administration of NY's reservoir systems. Effectively, these represented the beginnings of what in your prezo is depicted as a Water-SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system. The targeted nodes that had to be networked were manually-refreshed sensors and collection stations at various depths and distances throughout the watersheds of upstate NY. As you might imagine, I came across a lot of hammers seeking nails in those reviews, but none of them approached, not even in concept, the type of congitive dynamics described in your powerpoint example. Thanks for sharing those files.
