Clearly stated: ¶ 8 Global Securities has informed Commission staff that: 1. As of March 9, 2004 the Account holds approximately $942,505.12 USD in cash and -$1,363.00 USD in equities. 2. The negative equity balance represents outstanding short positions in the Account (the Short Positions). 3. To date, Global Securities has not been able to acquire the necessary securities to settle the Short Positions. 4. Global wishes to retain $2,726.00 USD in order to purchase securities to settle the Short Positions.
