I think the postal service has been doing down the tubes for years.

Our mail service in Houston is sketchy as best. I can't tell you how many times we get a piece of our own mail mailed back to us. When I went to talk with the postmaster he said we needed to stop using window envelopes. It was causing problems with their automated scanner. Now, you gotta understand, our office is just 10 minutes from the Medical Center in Houston. That same post office handles all their mail as well. Can you imagine telling all those practices, hospitals, etc., they can't use window envelopes any more? I just laughed and walked away.

We get mail for people not even on our street. I used to send it back stating it was delivered in error. Now, I look up the company and give them a call to let them know we have their mail. It's not just one piece, it's a whole days worth.

It can take any where for three days to a month to get out bank statements. I have a collection of envelopes showing the date the mail was stamped and written the date we received it down. It shouldn't take 3 1/2 weeks for a piece of mail to only go 8 miles. We have a vendor that's 8 miles away and it took that long to get a sales order from them.

It's insane. Service is bad all over.
