Multi-socket RAS features is one area where Opteron is weak. However, that is at the moment. AMD has been making noises about adding more RAS features, and that is the likely area they will add them. The lack of those features weren't a big problem for 1-4 socket systems which was the original target for Opteron. Now that they are shooting for larger systems, they need to add them.
