To say nothing about the over 3,000 people who were killed on 9-11 because Clinton fiddled,

Well, I have to be fair and admit that all of these administrations "fiddled", rather than admitting to themselves that Islamo-Fascism and it's Al Qai'da "front" was a truly dangerous ideology that we would eventually have to confront in a forceful manner.

And we have to admit that the key to unraveling and reversing the I-F trend was essentially due to Musharraf coming to power. We probably would not have received much sympathy from the previous regime there, with regard to taking down the Taliban.

But when Musharraf came to power, it began the reversal of the influence that the Islamist dominated ISI had over protecting their Taliban "proxies" (which they created in order to hobble Afghanistan economically, which resulted in protecting their western border and permitting to focus on their confrontation with India).

And Pakistan remains the key to dismantling the remainder of the Al Qai'da network since many portions of the border regions between Pakistan and Afghanistan remain ungoverned.

But that doesn't mean that there weren't options that could have been pursued more vigorously that would cause the former Pakistani regime to recognize that permitting Al Qai'da to find sanctuary in Afghanistan would lead to political conflict with the US (and possible increasing relations with India).

You're such an idiot. What, exactly, did your hero W the war president do after the "Bin Laden determined to attack" briefing of 8/6/01? Was his action , or lack of, somehow, supposed to be Clinton's fault in the bizarre "personal responsibility" formulation of the Church of W?
