Your logic that one has to support the mission to support the troops is false logic.

Why is it that the republicans are always the ones wanting to cut veterans' benefits? Is that your definition of supporting the troops?

We have a fundamental disagreement here. I support the troops, but I believe that the mission needs to be changed. The troops are not in charge of outlining the mission. The leadership is, you know the "deciders". I'm asking the deciders to revisit the mission. Meanwhile I support the troops and ask my representatives to please don't cut veterans benefits and please send those kids armored hummers and body armor. I've written dozens of letters to that effect. That is supporting the troops, but I do not support the objectives of the "deciders".

It's you that's hung up in the catch-22. By the way you should read that book...it still applies to today's quagmire.
