I am doing my eliminations right now. I don't think Brother Derek has a chance. A speedy front-runner rarely wins the Derby. For the same reason, I don't think Lawyer Ron, Barbaro or Sinister Minister will win, even though I know a lawyer named Ron who sometimes posts on this thread and he's a great guy. <G> And Sinister Minister has to be one of the coolest names around. Right now I favor Discreet Cat, if he shows up, despite the Dubai curse, and Steppenwolfer. I loved the way Step was steppin' up at the end of the Arkie Derby. And with all the favorites being speed horses, Step could tiptoe around a bunch of shot horses during the last furlong. But I want a price. I would also allow Discreet Cat to buy the ports contract in America. <G> BTW, I took Mom to the track yesterday (we traded Sundays for Thursdays while there is no live racing.) and I kicked butt. Sunday I couldn't pick my nose and yesterday I was superman. Consistency doesn't seem to be my strong suit.
