Yep. This generation applauds the arrest of a protesting woman on behalf of the 'Communist' (LOL) Human Rights Abuser in Chief of China.

Unbelievable.

We are so, so, so much in so much trouble. Our country is being destroyed out from under us. The US Constitution is under assault, our finances are in a shambles, our competitiveness is getting to be a joke (see Ford which is in better shape than GM) and the next generation appears to be full of sociopathic illiterates.

When did things get to be this bad or have we been careening down this very bad path since the 70s?

---- Heard this today but haven't confirmed the numbers. Exxon has underfunded its employee pension by $12 billion even though it made some $30 billion+ in profits last year alone.

How the blooming hell can Exxon have an underfunded pension plan when it made triple what is necessary in profits in a single year? What, is it waiting for peak oil so it can plead poverty and dump its pensioners on the US middle class?

Now THAT is a corporate strategy that would warm the cockles of rightwingers.
