I think it was a huge mistake to put abortion up as a legal issue and wish we could find a way to wipe all legislation about abortion out of our legal doctrine. I don't think marriage or sex orientation should be a discussed in legal terms at all. It is a belief system and a way of life which does not need to be involved with the legal system. There are many things about the human condition that defy legality as well. Unfortunately the legal Eagles think they can control everything with laws. There are certain things that are simply beyond our ability to reconcile or resolve with the human legal system, heinous crime for example.
