Those Generals had their own reasons for opposing the war. But their common theme was that it was a unplanned one resulting in the loss of innocent lives including those of the troops.

The White House is in disarray evidenced by the events of this and past weeks. THey have been forced to admit their mistakes on Iraq. while they are coming to grips with the Iraq issue, another problem is rearing its ugly head and that is the weapon of oil. If oil keeps going up at the rate it has been in the past 10 days, then Bush and the Republicans are finished.

While Bush is busy in Iraq and sabre rattling on Iran, the Arab oil lobby is quietly getting back to him by raising the oil prices. It is not so much gouging by Exxon etc. that the propaganda says it is. It is also the Arab oil lobby.
