Yes they are as are others. Its not the time to eliminate them. We need high gas prices to get your thing going. Later on we can take care of tax reform. Like SS, reform wont be coming anytime soon. Energy now is a far more immediate problem.

That's a lie. The taxes on gasoline should be doubled and the money should be used like the taxes on cigarettes to build the infrastructure and give out the incentives to get this country OFF OIL AND GAS as our #1 fuel. If we do that, ten years from now we can kiss off the Saudis and Iranians and will rid ourselves of all kinds of problems, from national security to environmental.

The Big Oil lobbyists and polluters always complain about taxes on their product, but they know gas taxes build the highways we drive on, and they are the ones gouging us now, up to a buck a gallon, and they have been since the week after Bush-Cheney were first nominated, with Bush-Cheney's complete cooperation and understanding.
