Your dog groomer is charging more because she thinks that she can. She knows that people feel wealthy because of their home and are willing to pay someone else to do their dirty work.

It has nothing to do with utility costs. That's just her disguise. It sounds better than "I'm raising my prices because I am greedy and know that you'll pay more".

LOL.. Our "dog boarding" index has risen from 11.00/day to 15.00/day in about 5 years.. That's for a 90 pounder btw..
