Good point. Copper impact of hybrids cars should be large. Depending the battery type lead-acid, NiMH, or Lithium - the nickel or lead impact could also be large.

On the flip side, the gas engine in a hybrid is much smaller and will use a much smaller catylytic converter than the average car today. With huge (and some dual !) converters being recycled from SUVs, there could be almost a glut of Platinum and Palladium
