BWAC...your KLAC example is spot on. The question is when to buy it. If KLAC reports on Thursday after the close, would late Thursday afternoon be the ideal time to buy? I have noticed many stocks sell off just hours prior to the earnings announcement.

My first choice would be to buy on Monday if the sell off from Friday continues. Since this is a market of rapid reversals the worst thing that could happen would be a strong Monday open followed by an afternoon collapse.

Perhaps some with charting expertise could give us the bottom of the KLAC trough and a good till cancelled order at that price would another way of doing it.

The buy price, properly executed minimizes downside risk on the covered call position.

Note...this is the NVLS board....but a stong showing by KLAC will effect the price of AMAT, NVLS and LRCX.

Any suggestion.....Jerome
