Peter, abundance of caution is no excuse for obstruction. The Gov't has gone out of its way to make testing by independent scientist virtually impossible by putting so many constraints when it comes to growing pot for experimentation.

I suspect the real reason it is discouraged by the FDA is because it is already illegal.

The FDA shouldn't care if pot is illegal or not when it comes to valid findings. Either the FDA is going to be scientific organization or it's going to be political. Politics and science make poor bedfellows.
