How long must the Church of God remain divided because you are right and 19999 other denominations are wrong? What has this got to do with me? I say that the Orthodox Church is right. I myself am most certainly not infallible. Furthermore, Christ's Church can never be truly divided, for what did the Savior say? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. (Mark 3.24-25) Christ promised that the gates of Hades would NEVER prevail against His Church. If Christ's Church were truly divided, it would not stand, but would be brought to desolation, which God forbids! You bicker and bite other Christians and call them the very worst thing you can They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. (1 John 2.19) If the papists had continued in the doctrine and faith of the Apostles, they would truly be called Christians. But since they brought in damnable heresies, the papists were cast out of the Church. The protestants never were true members of Christ's Church, since protestantism arose approximately 500 years subsequent to the departure of the Latin heretics from Christ's Church. Martin Luther and many other protestant "reformers" were simply disgruntled Roman Catholics. At the drop of a hat you so easily use the word "heretic" when what you should be doing is showing the love of Christ to others. You cannot separate truth from love. Allowing you to believe that you can subscribe to the wicked doctrines of preterism and still consider yourself a Christian is not love at all, but hatred. If the word "heretic" is distasteful to you, please forgive my use of the term. Perhaps the words of the Savior would be more palatable. "Ye worship ye know not what" (John 4.22) Roman Catholics worship they know not what. Protestants worship they know not what. I have a preterist belief about the end times but that does not automatically take away my election. Sadly Santiago, we live in an age when lies are rampant. The truth is not easy to discern in this evil time. Our only hope lies in the risen Christ and the scriptures are a sure testimony of the way to eternal life. Every tree is known by its fruit. Your words testify that you don't search the scriptures as you ought to. For if you did, you would not claim that it is possible to stubbornly turn your ear away from the universal teaching of the Church and still be considered one of God's elect. For what saith the scripture? "but if he neglect to hear the Church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican." (Matthew 18.17)
