Remember ANWAR? Offshore drilling? But, you would rather be dependent on arab oil, so what do you expect? You can't have it both ways...

There is no gouging, it has been investigated several times and never proven. There are over a thousand suppliers of oil in the world and potentially seven BILLION customers. China and India have doubled their use in the last ten years, Nigeria is effectively off line due to rebels. It is supply and demand, did you never do Economics 101? Perhaps you should. BTW, there would be more domestic supply if the oil companies were allowed to drill in more places and allowed to build new refineries which hasn't been done since 1972. But I waste my time, I know your ideas are fixed and you don't let facts get in the way of your opinions. In any case, you lefties should like higher gas prices as it will mean people use less gas and stop driving their SUV's, isn't that what you all shout about?
