Whoever is responsible for public affairs on this issue couldn't be doing a worse job if they tried. If there are indeed good policies at the top, the average citizen of the US or the world does not know it.

We see torture in Iraq. Pictures no less.

Now we hear about other detainee camps where they are torturing people.

I can tell you from the point of view of one who hasn't followed the issue closely, it looks as though the Cheney camp (pro torture) has completely prevailed on this issue.

If that is not the case, then the administration should correct the impression. But then the problem is that this administration also has a credibility problem. They appear to just say whatever is convenient regardless of what the real truth is.

Where's you get that idea? This whole Administration is an Oofty-Goofty Administration and is failing in good governance in virtually ever category.

Otherwise, why would there be so many resignations of protest over multiple Administration departments?
