That's what I thought, though alleged dimming in the solar constant sense is often thrown out by the "debunkers" of global warming. Which takes me back to this dispiriting article from a few months back, about what happened when it was actually proposed to measure "dimming":

What I find confusing, is that there is probably less aerosol pollution in North America and Europe than the mid 20th Century. There should be less "dimming" in those industrialized regions from pollution rather than more. Further, the sun is more active now, than anytime in the previous 1000 years (which helps explain why Mars and Pluto have undergone planetary warming).

Your description is what I thought they were proving.

You described it very well and thanks for entering the
discussion and being so explicit..

The sun is not burning out.

The "dimming" is not a phenomenon of reduced solar energy striking our planets ozone layer.

Yes, I know. And the show was clear about that.

The message is that we are creating a greenhouse effect with this crap. ...They failed to make that point?

Yes, they failed. I watched that section over and over. The point made was that dimming "masks" warming, which is not correct. Dimming mitigates warming because it cools. What it masks is the underlying greenhouse effect.
