Re: "The expert team went in there and in a few hours they said this is not a mobile weapons lab."

Two other expert teams disagreed. A day or two after your "few hours," (and before Bush spoke) the CIA/DIA report said the trailers were weapons labs, and strong evidence against Iraq. Today, from all I've read, there remain some disturbing mysteries surrounding the make-up of those labs. Indeed, while Tenet said what he said in Feb. '04, experts were noting that equipment in the trailers was beyond that needed to make hydrogen, and not sufficient for bio-weapons. Then we find that the trailers were designed to connect together, adding to the doubt and possibilities greatly. Despite who may have said what by now, including Dulfer, to my knowledge there is no clear-cut explanation for the equipment and set-up of those labs.

Iraq had tried to flush out systems before, and failed by leaving traces behind which were noted upon inspection (i.e. Iraq lied before about the purpose and use of labs, and was caught red-handed). Experience is a great teacher.

Re: "A clear picture must be beginning to form in your mind as to what Bush was up to...no?"

Well, no (as in your theory). And yes. He rightly believed Iraq was worth stomping on, and what we don't have is evidence of any cover-up, just a passing on of current analysis. There is no evidence that Bush knew one thing, but stated another in this matter, at any time. Many if fact continued to report that these labs were highly suspicious, and there is no evidence that these beliefs weren't based in reasonable analysis. Were "cover-up" the case, you wouldn't be able to make a case, IMHO (perhaps no third team of experts free to analyze in depth and independently would have been sent at all, for instance).

Yes, the very fact that the truth of our search for WMD's in Iraq is there for all to see, and for you to attempt to make a case with, is clear evidence that there has been no coverup.
