have to differ with you on mish thread. it is very one side left . and it finds remote articles off the edge without support of facts. quite a few on the posts are general statements from agenda written folks. i have often disputed mish posts with solid data. as long as you get to read both sides of an issue i support anyone.. however, many times you incorrect facts that just hang.

i only mention mish from experience.. it works on both right and and left threads. see ya

EDIT: sorry, forgot which thread I was on.

Truman's ratings were even lower than Bush's (I think) at the time he fired McArthur. Maybe if the Internet had been around, more people could have found out just how headstrong and irresponsible McArthur was.

To say this is not to defend Bush, of course. As I said when I got expelled from the "Politics for Pros" thread, he is "a dreadful little prick."

Truman, on the other hand, looks better and better with time. I look forward to reading David McCullough's biography of Truman some time soon.

OT

<<<<< " I honestly believe the internet is one of the reasons Bush's ratings are so low. We all know what the administration is REALLY doing." >>>>

No John, I do not know what the administration is "REALLY doing. " I TRULY do not. (Since, as you say, everyone "knows", perhaps your rejoinder will reference my intelligence?)

I do know that your political passions are very much aroused. (As are mine.)

And BTW, what is the difference between believing and "honestly" believing? Is the tautology intended to display your sincerity?

Sincerely,

Bruce
