QCOM would receive the same royalties because the horde of other subscriber device licensees would be delighted to increase their sales if NOK wants to go back to making gum boots instead of cyberphones.

Huawei pays 7% royalty on exports, which is more than NOK will pay [about 5%]. So let's hope NOK doesn't want to stay in the CDMA business. QCOM will make more money.

But the $5bn lump sum [that I think NOK should pay] up front as an entry fee, would be nice. Other companies have paid upfront fees, I suppose based on market share. NOK should too, in proportion.
