Rock, part of the blame must lie with extremist liberal
special interest groups that constantly block the development
of additional energy sources like offshore drilling, nuclear,
and wind generated farms, refineries, etc., for political reasons.
Every major attempt to incorporate new technologies
to exploit inexpensive energy sources has met with litigation
sponsored by these radical organizations. In effect they are
chaining us to oil because of their actions. The US has
the capability to produce abundant and inexpensive energy
that could significantly reduce our dependence on hydrocarbon
fuels, but every attempt to do so is met with significant
political and legal opposition. The problem is not only
big business infrastructure or government. Special interest
groups are hindering our energy development potential. It is
up to the government(read that as the US population majority)
to use its resources to drive improvements and developments
with favorable incentives and political support.
