Peter, Those people read, and believe the koran without knowing the story behind it. Mohammed was a scoundrel to say the least, and would not have been able to feed himself if he had not married an older, rich, woman. If the people of Islam today knew the story, they would know that allah was one of the many household gods that the Arabs had in the times of Mohammed. Allah was the moon god, and Mohammed favored him over the others, and decided to invent a religion with allah as the one and only god instead of the God of creation. The whole religion is based on a fake. I think I understood what you were saying but may have not stated my thoughts properly. I feel we are on the same page. I could say more about the Spanish Inquisition but that would cause an uproar that has already been multi-posted on SI.
