It's 3 farms now, one being the largest in the US and will supply power to 120,000 homes in Chicago. Permits and leases are done so they should start building soon.

Some of the newer ethanol plants will run on coal mixed with cobs so not a lot of oil being burned. Farmers have a big say in a lot of our ethanol plants and they know how to save a buck.
