What I find amazing is that most Americans can't remember from day to day that there is some kind of a 'war' going on. If you don't pay much attention to the news, it's like it doesn't exist. I think most Americans have even become bored of the flag-waving, yellow car sticker nonsense. I think it is a good thing if all people view being in the military as a job instead of as anything more. It's a necessary evil right now but, in the future, it should be seen as a waste of everyone's time and money. I wonder what would happen if no country had a standing military. How would anyone start a war?
